  • Marimekko Corporation in a trademark dispute against Dolce&Gabbana 
  • Crocs, Inc. in Market Court proceedings protecting its products. The Market Court ruled in favour of our client, finding the third party manufacturer’s marketing activities misleading and granting an injunction. Further, we have represented Crocs, Inc. in several customs seizures cases.
  • The State of Finland as the owner of three multi-purpose vessels, and the Finnish shipyard, which had constructed and built the three vessels, in complex patent infringement proceedings. A parallel patent proceeding was conducted in Norway, where we instructed the local counsel and participated in the handling of the case. Once the first of the patents was declared invalid based on our counter-claim, the cases were settled to the State’s satisfaction.
  • A Finnish company in a dispute against a Norwegian company concerning the rights and conditions for the use of certain patents relating to ship-building industry. The dispute was resolved in an ad hoc arbitration in Sweden.
  • A global pharmaceutical company in several simultaneous and extensive injunction and patent infringement proceedings at the Helsinki District Court. 
  • A Finnish company in obtaining a precautionary measure prohibiting the counterparty from presenting allegations to third parties that our client was violating the counterparty’s intellectual property rights. 
  • A leading multinational software company against another major corporation operating in the same branch of industry in a major trademark dispute pending simultaneously before venues in various countries. We secured our client’s position by winning the injunction proceedings, after which the dispute was settled. 
  • A Finnish company in a dispute regarding licence fees in connection with the outsourcing of the company’s IT department. The dispute was settled on terms favourable to the client. 
  • A director of a motion picture in an application to prohibit the distribution of the movie which violated the director’s IP rights. The case was settled soon after the application was submitted. 
  • A Finnish company in a dispute over the IP rights to a software. We succeeded in obtaining an injunction ordering the counterparty under penalty of a fine to refrain from making claims of ownership to third parties either directly or indirectly.
