EXPERIENCE
Maria is the Senior Associate of Corporate and M&A Practice of Hannes Snellman in Moscow. She represented interests of major international investment holdings and corporations in investment projects, Russian and international M&A and capital markets transactions, as well as in establishing joint ventures and intra-group restructuring. Maria is an expert in corporate and intellectual property law. She is the author of several scientific works. Before moving to Moscow Maria was teaching civil law at the Law School of St. Petersburg State University.

- Assisting a leading Russian investment holding in acquisition of 100 % in a major Russian con-struction design and R&D company
- Representation a leading Russian investment holding in acquisition of a molybdenum-processing plant in Ryasanskya Oblast
- Advising a large Russian auto manufacturer in negotiations on the creation of strategic alliances and/or joint ventures with some of the world’s largest auto and auto components manufacturers, providing for transfer of the foreign participant’s technology and knowhow to the joint venture company
- Representation of a controlling shareholder of one of the largest Russian insurance companies in a potential buy-out of over 30 % stake in this insurance company from foreign strategic investors in the conditions of a protracted corporate conflict
- Russian law counsel to a large molybdenum-processing holding and to a leading aluminum pro-ducer in preparations for IPO at HKSE
