EXPERIENCE
Irene Chubukova specialises in intellectual property protection and has extensive experience providing legal support to clients with respect to advertising and marketing campaigns. She has also successfully resolved administrative disputes with the Russian antimonopoly authorities regarding false advertising and unfair competition.
Irene has also participated in large due diligence projects, in particular, analysing risks related to intangible assets (IP) and proposing possible methods to reduce or eliminate such risks. She has represented clients in pre-trial and court proceedings in Russian courts of various levels on the protection of exclusive trade-mark rights and domain dispute resolution.
RECENT REFERENCES
Some of the recent projects in which Irene has been involved include:
- Legal due diligences of IP assets of a large Russian company producing a famous animated TV series;
- Successfully protected interests of one of the largest global and European electronics manufacturers before the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation with respect to spread of false advertising;
- Represented a shoe manufacturer before the Federal Antimonopoly Service in a dispute with a competitor using a similar logo in its business activities;
- Regularly represented a number of major FMCG companies on various matters related to trade-mark protection in Russia and labeling and advertising products in Russia;
- Participated in a project to develop and implement internal regulations for trade secrets for a large FMCG company;
- Prepared documentation for lotteries, contests, and other marketing activities
- Developed agreements on intellectual property rights, including assignment agreements, license agreements, and provisions on IP and trade secrets as parts of other agreements, including service and distribution agreements.
- Successfully resolved a number of disputes over trade-mark protection against the illegal use of domain names.
